Pakistan is currently facing a significant national poverty issue due to economic instability and the increasing cost of living.
In February 2023, it was agreed that MDS Corporation, a Dubai-based organization owned by Takahana Takaki, will make contributions of 40,000,000 Japanese Yen to Al-Mustafa Welfare Society, a non-profit organization officially recognized by the Pakistani government. From 2023 to 2028, these donations will support the organization in providing medical care to a cumulative total of 7,500,000 patients and assisting 20,000 students, alongside other initiatives.
Mr. Takahana Takaki, known for his generosity and being one of the youngest donors, previously donated over 100,000,000 Japanese Yen to Higashimurayama City in May 2021 to support children’s education. This act earned him the prestigious “Medal of Honor” and recognition from the Emperor of Japan and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, as reported in Official Gazette No. 729. Demonstrating his commitment to children’s well-being, Mr. Takahana aims to extend his support beyond national borders with this recent donation to Pakistan.
General Secretary Al-Mustafa Welfare Society Mr. Ahmed Raza Tayyab confirmed that the funds provided by Takahana Takaki will be directed towards the existing orphanages operated by the organization. Mr. Takaki has also shown his interest in supporting Al-Mustafa Welfare Society further in the construction of another project My-Home Al-Mustafa (Orphanage for girls)
