Dengue is a virus that is transmitted via mosquito bites resulting in either a mild dengue fever or haemorrhagic fever, if not treated earlier it can cause death. This deadly disease claimed hundreds of lives in Karachi during the past couple of months. Al-Mustafa Welfare Society organized a public awareness seminar about dengue at Al-Mustafa Medical Centre Gulshan, Karachi. The Chief Medical Officer of the Hospital Dr. Abdul Rahman gave briefing about the symptoms, treatment and preventive measures for dengue fever in the seminar.
