My wife and I were not only grieved about the fact that that our children have thalassemia, but also it was impossible for me to afford the expensive treatment of this deadly disease. But thanks to Al-Mustafa Welfare Society, who registered both my kids with their Thalassemia Unit. My children’s monthly treatment expense is around Rs. 40,000 and we do not have to pay a single penny for that.

Assalam 0 Alaikum. My name is Muhammad Shakir, and my daughter Umm-e-Hani is a patient with thalassemia and has been registered with Al-Mustafa’s Thalassemia Unit for 12 years. I am a poor laborer, and I hardly manage to provide food and necessities of life to my family. I could never afford the expensive treatment of thalassemia. It is by the blessing of Allah and with the support of Al-Mustafa Welfare Society that I no longer have to worry about arranging the expensive treatment for my girl.

Assalam o alaikum, my name is Zahid Usman, and I am 63 years old. As you can see, I have lost both my legs due to diabetes, and I am also suffering from hearing and visual problems, due to which even my family abandoned me. I have been living in Gosha-e-Ameer Hamza for 8 months. They have not only sheltered me, but they also take care of all my medical and other needs; I am even provided with a proper diet to control my sugar levels. The staff here takes care of me as if my own children would. I am thankful to the administration of Al-Mustafa Welfare Society.

Gulzar Ahmed is 80 years old. He and his wife had nowhere to live when their son refused to let them live in his house. The couple then took shelter in Al-Mustafa’s old age homes for men and women. He and his wife have been happily living in Gosha-e-Ameer Hamza and Gosha-e-Fatima, respectively, for 2.5 years.

I am Naila, and I work in houses as a cleaner and earn my living. My husband is a diabetic patient and therefore cannot earn properly for our living. My 4 sons are living in MyHome Al-Mustafa. It is so difficult for me to raise my sons on my own and give them proper education. All of my sons also have vision problems, due to which they have had to face discriminatory behavior from family and friends. At MyHome Al-Mustafa, my sons not only get proper education and other facilities, but the management of Al-Mustafa Welfare Society is also providing eye treatment to my sons. My sons and I are happy now; they are getting a proper education and all the facilities of life that I could only dream of, and no one teases my sons anymore due to their illness.

When Ghulam Abbas and Muhammad Amir lost both of their parents, the only person left in the family was their elder sister, Mrs. Naseema. Naseema and her husband, Allah Dino, are extremely poor, as her husband is a laborer who works on daily wages. She was worried about her brothers’ proper upbringing and education, which she was unable to afford. Another reason for her anxiety was the lack of a healthy atmosphere, due to which her brothers were gradually losing their morals. Ghulam Abbas and Muhammad Amir have been living in MyHome Al-Mustafa for two years. Naseema is now happy that both her brothers are not only getting a good education but are also receiving all the facilities of life in a healthy atmosphere, which she was unable to provide.
